  14. First, thanks to everyone who replied to my last post- I got too
  15. many replies to deal with individually, but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE..

  18. Now, the nasty question. I'm reliably informed that the AGA expansion
  19. does NOT provide a twin 16 colour dual playfield display, even though
  20. the AGA architecture supports this screenmode. So the question is, can
  21. I fool/trick/bully/bludgeon AMOS Pro into opening such a screen anyway,
  22. given that once open the architecture should handle the screen transparently
  23. to AMOS?

  25. Possibilities:
  26. 1) After opening the screens and dualling them, reformat the screens
  27. from 8 to 16 colour without alerting AMOS... (ouch!)
  28. 2) Somehow kill off the error checking that stops me dualling two 16 
  29. colour screens (double ouch!)
  30. 3) Rewrite the Dual Playfield system from scratch (yeah, right!)
  31. 4) Open the screen through Intuition, then hand it over to AMOS somehow. (Hmm.)
